Privacy Policy
Generally
This privacy policy applies when applying for a position with:
a) LG Electronics Nordic AB (org. no. 556575-6383) (“LGE”);
b) any of LGE's branches; and or
c) any consultant / staffing company whereby LGE intends to hire staff for the current position from,
as described in the relevant advertisement (the "Service").
 
Collection of personal data
LGE is responsible for the processing of the personal data that you submit, or for the personal data that comes to us through third parties, e.g. LinkedIn regarding the application to the Service.
To the extent that we alone or together with others decide what happens to your personal data, LGE is responsible for personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act and LGE's address data is:

Why do we process your data?
LGE will only request personal information that is necessary to be able to carry out the recruitment process for the Service. Personal data is processed only for the purposes and purposes described in this Privacy Policy. LGE processes your personal data in order to:
• determine your relevance to the current Service;
• manage contact with you;
• undertake target group optimization of our ads;
• present your profile for any other services at LGE in order to create more job opportunities for you; and
• handle any disputes.
Personal information
LGE typically collects the following personal information for the purpose of evaluating your application to the Service:
• name;
• contact information, such as, email, phone number and address;
• your possible LinkedIn profile; and
• other personal information that may appear on your CV, personal letter, grades, diplomas, diplomas, certificates, photos or other material that you send to us and oral interviews with you and / or any referees in connection with the recruitment process.
If applicable, LGE will also ask you to perform one or more test (s), which is why LGE will also process the results of such tests. Some checks, such as background checks and tests, may contain sensitive personal information. For these checks, you will always be asked to give a special consent before performing.
Consent from the data subject
You agree that LGE, as the person responsible for personal data, processes your personal data in order to handle the recruitment. You agree that personal information is collected when you make an application and add personal information about yourself, personally or by using a third party (such as LinkedIn). You also agree that we may collect relevant publicly available information about you and compile it for recruitment purposes.
You have the right to revoke your consent at any time by contacting us (see the section on your rights).
Storage
The personal data collected is stored and processed within the EU / EEA. LGE stores personal data for a maximum of 26 months, after which all personal data and attached documents are deleted.
How long is personal data processed?
As long as you do not object in writing to the processing of your personal data, the personal data will be stored and processed by us as long as we deem it necessary for the purposes stated above, but not for a longer period than 12 months from the application date.
In addition to the above, LGE will, in accordance with the Discrimination Ombudsman's recommendations and directives, retain your personal data for a maximum of 26 months from your last application date as evidence of a fair recruitment process, after which all your personal data will be deleted.
Transfer of personal data to third parties
LGE will not sell or transfer your personal information to third parties. However, we may transfer personal data to our suppliers and subcontractors, in their role as personal data assistants and sub-assistants, according to our instructions, for the provision of services necessary for the recruitment process. We may also need to transfer your personal information if required by law by authorities. We only transfer your personal data to third parties that we trust and have a personal data assistant agreement with such a party.
Security
LGE values ​​personal privacy and therefore works actively to ensure that your personal data is treated with the utmost care. LGE takes the measures that may reasonably be required to ensure that your personal data is processed securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and GDPR. Transmission of information via the Internet and mobile networks, however, can never take place completely risk-free, which is why all transmission takes place at your own risk. It is important that you also take responsibility for ensuring that your information is protected. It is your responsibility to ensure that your login details are kept secret.
Aggregated data
We may share aggregated information (non-identifiable personal information) with third parties. In such a case, the aggregated information has been compiled and may, for example, consist of statistics on Internet traffic or the geographical location. Aggregated information does not contain any information that can be traced to a specific individual and thus does not constitute personal data.
Your rights
You have the right to: (i) request information about and access all of your personal data that we hold, (ii) request that any incorrect personal data we hold be corrected, (iii) object to certain types of processing of your personal data that we perform ( including the right to cancel all direct advertising), (iv) request that we delete the personal data we hold about you, subject to what is stated in this privacy policy and (v) to request a copy of your personal data in a machine-readable, commonly used format ( or request that we transfer your personal data in such a format to a third party service provider).
LGE will process such requests and respond to you within 30 days. We may require verification of your identity to provide a copy of your personal information.
Cookies
When you navigate the website, information about the use will be stored through cookies. Cookies are passive text files that are stored by the browser in your device, such as their computer, mobile or tablet, during navigation. LGE uses cookies to facilitate your use of our services and to collect information such as statistics about how you found here. This is done in order to secure, maintain and improve our site and services. You can deny the use of cookies at any time by changing settings in your device.
Changes to the privacy policy
LGE reserves the right to revise this privacy policy. If we change this Privacy Policy in a way that differs significantly from what was stated when your consent was collected, we will notify you of these changes and, if necessary, ask you to consent to LGE's personal data processing again.

If you have a complaint, we ask you to contact us in the first instance, but you can of course also choose to contact the Data Inspectorate directly (or such other relevant foreign authority for data protection).
